Isn't this nice...

A real office building. And this is their temp space. It looks, acts, and feels like a "normal" office environment. It is a little cramped because its temp space. Symphony is scheduled to open a new office building basically in a month. Still, there are offices and conference rooms and cubicles, things I'm familiar with.

It's a rainy day in Bangalore. The Airport Authority is on strike today, and in support of this the rickshaw drivers are on strike as well. No rickshaws, and many flights are cancelled. Traffic is "better," but that's relative in Bangalore. Glad I got in yesterday.

One thing that never occurred to me, until driving in the rain, is this. Cars are expensive, right? Many people have motorcycles. They are extremely common. What if it's raining? What if there is water in the road? You wear a big jacket and take your only mode of transportation to work.

Two weeks here basically and lots of stuff to do. We have a server Jesse brought in (and bribed the customs officer) but not cables - no power, network, or anything. Another server is sitting at customs I guess at the airport. We need to get those to get some training stuff ready. I'm excited to see the city.

Also, to anyone from NetIQ that may be reading this. You may have been alarmed by my fear that people would be new, untrained, and not experienced with computer development or testing. Those fears are not nearly as big as they were just a few days ago. I have faith in this now.
